Formerly a native Northern Californian, I moved to New York to pursue fashion design at Parson’s School of Design where I graduated from the B.F.A. program with honors. I have lived in New York for the past ten years working in the fashion community and am now currently dividing my time between New York and Berlin, the better to observe and report on trends. My over ten years experience designing has made me a very strong designer in many areas of design. I offer trend reporting, design consultation, textile design, graphics and illustration. With design consultation, I begin with your company directives and design the individual styles, source fabrics/yarns and factories for you, create your flats and tech packages and oversee fittings and daily factory correspondence through first samples. I can also provide you with beautiful board presentations, look books and other graphic materials such as tee-shirt graphics, powerpoint presentations, and virtual store layouts. My prints are available for sale, or I can source and put prints into repeat for you. I also offer top of the line embroidery/beading, intarsia, knit stitch, and jacquard layouts. My specialty is both knits and wovens with an emphasis on women’s wear, though I also design for children’s and men’s wear. My strengths as a designer are that, I’m intuitive, constantly innovative, highly creative, professional and timely, with a commitment to excellence and to creating win-win solutions for all. I communicate ideas clearly both verbally and visually, and I both lead and follow direction well. My other great strength is that I bring integrity and loyalty to every project. My philosophy of life is the same as my philosophy for design. Life to is beauty, integration, adventure and humor, because I think beauty inspires, that we should always explore new horizons, that design should bring people together and that above all, life is best when it makes you smile.
